Give one of your plants a new place to catch some sunlight — and make the holder yourself.

In this 2-hour workshop, you’ll make one of two simple LAMA plant holder designs, choosing the colour and adapting the holder to fit your pot. You don’t need to know exactly how big the pots are, as the holders are adaptable, but a general idea would be advised.

I’ll guide you through the process step by step, from measuring and cutting the leather to punching, setting the rivets, sewing, and assembling your plant holder. You’ll get to work with the tools yourself and learn some of the basics of working with leather along the way.

You can also personalise your plant holder with initials or a short word if you wish.

No previous leatherworking experience is needed — this is a straightforward project designed to give you a taste of making with leather while leaving with something useful for your home.
