The MACÁ Convertible Backpack + Handbag: Last Units, Loved & Ready for New Journeys

This is the final chance to own the MACÁ Bag — a versatile, genderless design that will no longer be produced. These last pieces have lived a little: they’ve been with me to design markets and exhibitions, carried, admired, and naturally developed a bit of patina. You may notice small marks or tanning, but that only adds to their unique character.

Crafted from Italian vegetable-tanned leather and paired with solid brass hardware, the MACÁ remains one of the most labour-intensive designs in my collection. Built from three large pieces of leather and over 2.5 metres of carefully finished straps and edges, it’s a bag that embodies meticulous craftsmanship.

Ingeniously convertible, it can be worn as a classic backpack for hands-free comfort or as a crossbody bag for an alternative look. Spacious and functional, it includes an internal separation to keep your essentials organised.

These last units are still gorgeous, durable, and absolutely deserve to be used — a timeless piece of LAMA history, available now until they’re gone.
